It’s almost here! The 88th Academy Awards are Sunday, February 28th at 8:30 PM EST on ABC. Here’s are your On Wisconsin official predictions for how things will shake up this weekend.

Best Picture

Liz’s Pick: The Revenant

Potential Spoil: Spotlight

It’s a tough category this year, because all of the movies are really solid. In my opinion, this one could be a tossup between The Revenant, Spotlight and The Big Short. There’s been a lot of talk about The Big Short taking it home, but I’m going with Iñárritu for the second year in a row, with our indie darling Spotlight for the potential upset.

Liz’s Pick: Leonardo DiCaprio, The Revenant

Potential Spoil: Bryan Cranston, Trumbo

Despite popular belief, Leo isn’t the most snubbed actor in Oscar nominee history. That said, he has been waiting a long time. If sleeping naked in the carcass of a dead horse doesn’t get him one this year, I’m not sure what will.

Best Actress

Liz’s Pick: Brie Larson, Room

Potential Spoil: Saoirse Ronan, Brooklyn

The small and strong cast is a shining star in Room, and Brie Larson leads the pack. Her dynamite performance as a teenaged captive turned mother turned free woman will get her the Oscar this year.

Liz’s Pick: Sylvester Stallone, Creed

Potential Spoil: Mark Ruffalo, Spotlight

Liz’s Pick: Alicia Vikander, The Danish Girl
